Loughborough University in partnership with Innovate UK, the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership, de Montfort University, and the University of Leicester is supporting the delivery of a series of free workshops for local businesses, particularly SMEs. Part of the Leicestershire Innovation Week programme of events, the workshops will give you an overview of the support and funding provided by Innovate UK and other local agencies.

The morning events will focus on three sectors:

  • Textiles Tuesday 27 February (King Power Stadium, Leicester)
  • Food and Drink Wednesday 28 February (King Power Stadium, Leicester)
  • Logistics Thursday 1 March (Stanford Hall, Lutterworth)

As well as outlining the regional and national support available to support local businesses, the sessions will also highlight emerging sector trends and explore why innovation is important for your company and the local economy. The workshops will also provide opportunities to talk to expert business advisors and receive practical advice on writing successful funding applications.

John Frodsham, the iNet Director at Loughborough University says: Whether your business is a committed innovator or a start-up, these events will be really useful, offering insights from successful businesses, and helping you to learn about the funding and other support offered by Innovate UK and local agencies.
